The President of the Diputación de Granada, Antonio Martínez Caler, announced today that the company Vueling will connect the city with Paris from June 24 with three flights weekly. Tickets for this new route will go on sale from next Thursday 25 February.

In particular, the airline will operate between the airport Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén and Paris Charles de Gaulle on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The flights will leave Paris at 15.00 hours to reach Granada at 17.55. From Granada will leave at 18.25 to arrive at the French capital at 20.45.

Martínez Caler, who said at a news conference that the company could increase the frequency depending on the profitability of the route, explained that this new achievement is the result of changing the policy of the institution in terms of flights.

"It's not the same as we were doing with Ryanair, with whom there was an agreement, led by the Chamber of Commerce, through which we participated a number of institutions and companies and in which there was a financial commitment determined by specific periods of time to ensure a minimum of flights in the province of Granada through advertising concepts commitments. Now start a line in which the commitment has been taken in principle by the Provincial de Granada and Jaen but I know the desire to participate in the Chamber of Commerce "he said.

The President explained that the open now is a new area of relations with the airlines, which is to agree with companies advertising campaigns where they request aimed at promoting the destination Granada.
